3rd Annual Ross Cogger Memorial TART Trail Trek - October 5, 2008
Plan to attend the third annual Ross Cogger Memorial TART Trail Trek on October 5. This TART-sponsored event is a fundraiser for the expansion of the Boardman Lake Trail.
The Station Coffee Bar is the event's home base. There, participants will enjoy coffee, doughnuts, cider and live music. A display of future Boardman Lake Trail plans will be on hand. Future plans include a trail encircling the entire lake and south along the Boardman River valley.
The trail offers scenic views of fall colors and of Boardman Lake. To enjoy a color tour, bring your bike, go for a run or take a leisurely stroll down the trail. The Boardman Lake Trail has a lot to offer.
Currently, the trail follows the east side of the lake. About 1 mile of the trail surface is paved, the other mile is crushed limestone with wood-decked bridges. To experience the entire trail length, plan on an approximate four mile round trip from the coffee shop.
Participation fees are $10/individual and $20/family. Registration is at the Station Coffee Bar. For more information, please contact the TART Trails office at 941-4300.

About Ross Cogger
Ross Cogger was a recreation and outdoor enthusiast, and also a fan of the TART Trails. During his final stay in the hospital, he talked of riding the new Boardman Lake Trail; however, he died of cancer on November 4, 2005, just after the trail opened. Because he wasn't able to ride the trail in his lifetime, TART hosts this event in his memory.
