On Saturday, February 14, 2009 join many other nordic skiing fanatics in the 33rd annual North American Vasa ski race. The race starts and ends at Timber Ridge Resort in Traverse City, MI. They offer 3 distances: 12km, 27km and 50km - Freestyle and Classic.

Can't get enough? Participate in the Gran Travers Cross Country Classic on Sunday, February 15th, 2009 for either a 6 or 16km cross country ski- the old fasioned way.

 Vasa Race Raffle to benefit Groomer Repair: The North American Vasa voted to donate 100% of this year's proceeds of their raffle to the repair of TART's LMC groomer. Raffle tickets are available directly from Vasa Board Member, Mike Tarnow at mtarnow@nmrec.com. The tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. It is a 50/50 raffle with a maximum prize of $3,500.
