Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation (TART) Trails, Inc. and the Cherry Capital Cycling Club are co-hosting the Ride of Silence on May 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the old railroad depot near Woodmere Ave and Eighth Street. The Ride of Silence is a silent bike ride in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways.
The Traverse City ride is one of the many Rides of Silence around the world happening on May 20. The ride aims to raise cycling awareness during bike safety month for motorists, police, and city officials. Michigan leads the nation and the world with more than 28 rides in our state!
Ride of Silence T-shirts will be provided at no charge by the Cherry Capital Cycling Club to the first 50 participants. Donations to defray the $5/shirt cost will be accepted and appreciated.
Black armbands will be provided to all riders. Please bring your own if you have one.
