The theme for our summer photo contest was “families and trails.” Our winning photo is of the Schramski family enjoying a lovely summer afternoon biking on the Leelanau Trail. Pictured is Jim Schramski and 5-year-old daughter Hannah on the Tagalong and wife Heidi pulling future bicyclist Ben in the Chariot. Schramski said the family uses the trail frequently and is excited about the new Leelanau Trail pavement!

Now, we’re moving on to a new season. Send us your fall and winter trail photos (ones with people in them are best) and TART will feature the winners in our next newsletter and on our website. Deadline for submissions is March 1, 2007. Send an email with “trail photo contest” in the subject line to lynn@traversetrails.org. Please attach your photo to the email and include your name, address, phone number, and a brief description of the photo. Any photo submissions may be used in TART Trails publications.
