TART is seeking nominations for the 7th annual Jim Mudgett Trail Pioneer Award. Mudgett, who passed away in 2004, was a founding member of the TART Trails Board of Directors, a trail chief on the Leelanau Trail, and a longtime supporter of the Vasa Pathway. Send submissions in writing by September 8th to TART Trails, PO Box 252, Traverse City, MI 49685, stating the reasons you believe the person you nominate should receive this award. In addition to specific reasons you believe they are a good nominee, please include any biographical information that might be relevant for the selection committee.
Past award recipients include: Lois Bahle, Tim Brick, George Lombard, Dave Monstrey, Dick Naperala, Ted Okerstrom, Tom Phillips and June Thaden.
