Answers:

  1. There are currently 55 miles of trails in the TART system.
  2. The four original trails are TART, Leelanau Trail, Vasa Pathway and the Boardman Lake Trail.
  3. The highest elevation on the Leelanau Trail is near the Shady Lane Rd crossing and on the Vasa Pathway it is between Jackpine Valley and the steel power lines just west of the Vasa Single Track crossing.
  4. When completed, the Boardman Lake Trail will be Five miles long and go all of the way around    the lake.
  5. 991 free breakfasts were served this year during Smart Commute Week.
  6. TART Trails Inc. owns the Leelanau Trail.
  7. The Three Mile Trail connecting South Airport Rd with East GT Bay along Three Mile Rd is the newest trail in the system.
  8. The TART Trails Sculpture Plaza featuring the bronze sculpture "Time To Let Go" by Verna Bartnick is in Clinch Park.
  9. Approximately 94% of TART's annual budget are gifts from individual donors.
