A trail extension (nearly two miles) from Lautner Road to M-72 (along the railroad) has recently been completed. This project was designed by the Grand Traverse County Road Commission and is funded by a MDOT Enhancement Grant with the local match from Acme Township, TART Trails, the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and Grand Traverse County.
If you want to get to the new section of trail from where the TART Trail ends at Bunker Hill, follow Bunker Hill until you get to Lautner Road. Turn left on Lautner Road until you see the trail on the right.
