  Commuter Cup Challenge35 teams competed in the 2008 Commuter Cup Challenge. Click on the link below to see how your workplace stacked up in your division:____________________________________ About the Commuter Cup Challenge  The Commuter Cup Challenge is the heart and soul of Smart Commute Week. Challenge your co-workers to walk, bike, carpool, or take BATA to work and try to win the commuting contest! We have secured many great prizes for the top two teams in each of 4 categories (mini, small, medium, and large workplaces). All commuter cup teams will be entered to win a commuter-style bicycle simply by reporting their smart commuting scores all 4 days of the challenge.The Commuter Cup Challenge is open to all workplaces in Traverse City. Commuter Cup teams can be made up of the entire workplace, departments or divisions- you choose! Challenge other businesses or challenge groups within your own organization. The goal is to increase participation and spread the joys of smart commuting. To learn how your Traverse City organization can participate, call 941-4300. Mock Awards! Do you think your coworker is the best dressed smart commuter in town? How about the most creative form of smart transportation? Most colorful bike shorts? Send a brief description of your nominee, mock award category (you can invent your own as long as it has to do with smart commuting!) and why you are nominating him or her to Missy at missy@traversetrails.org. Winners will be recognized at the Friday breakfast and prize ceremony at Mustard's! The Commuter Cup Challenge is a 4-day event, with prizes to be awarded on Friday, June 6 at the Mustard's breakfast. Check out the Awards & Prizes page for this year's prizes. See you at Mustard's! How to Register Encourage your co-workers to bike, walk, rollerblade, take the bus, canoe, kayak, even carpool to work during Smart Commute Week. Read the Commuter Cup Invite Letter sent to area businesses and download, print, and complete the Registration Form 2008 and send it in! Or contact the TART office at 231-941-4300. There is a $25 fee for registering. How it works The team leader reports how many employees participate each day. On Friday, June 6th at 8:00 a.m., the winners are announced.
