Sustainers Circle Events
We host a number of annual events exclusively for our Sustainers Circle of Donors. We hope these fun and informal events give you a chance to get out on the trails to enjoy and learn more about the network and experiences you’re helping to support! Please consider joining us at one or all of them! Not a sustainer? Learn more here.

Saturday, February 15 | Ski & Snowshoe Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail | 1 – 4 pm
Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail is calling! Join us for a guided afternoon cross country ski (or snowshoe hike). Soak in the fresh air while learning about the history of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, and future plans for the tail. Then enjoy warm snacks and a refreshing Leelanau Lambic at Cherry Republic’s Public House in Glen Arbor. Please bring or rent your own skis/snowshoes. Email Caitlin Early by February 3 to reserve your spot.
CANCELLED: Thursday, May 21 | Learning Session: Create a Lasting Legacy | 5:30 – 7 pm
We are looking to reschedule this event later in the calendar year.
Friday, August 28 | Bike & Boat | 12 – 7 pm
Back by popular demand! See the riches of our region on a one-way bike on the Leelanau Trail from Traverse City to Suttons Bay, followed by a sail back to TC on the Inland Seas Schooner, enjoying dinner, drinks and good company on board.
VIRTUAL: Oktoberfest 2020 | Thursday, October 1| 6:00 pm
This gathering of the TART Trails’ family is an annual highlight for Sustainers. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 in-person Oktoberfest gathering has been cancelled. Instead, please join us for a virtual celebration of happy, active people making connections through trails! The evening will feature a thank you message from TART Trails Board and Staff, an update on projects and programs, and the presentation of the Jim Mudgett Trail Pioneer Award.
